  • Liz Ostrowski

    Associate

    Liz Ostrowski commenced her career in the Probation Service and has since worked as a senior manager in voluntary sector domestic abuse and mental health services.

    Within her current freelance consultancy, Liz has undertaken a wide range of activities throughout the UK, primarily with a focus on domestic abuse perpetrator responses. These have included strategic planning towards systems change with local authorities, Police and Crime Commissioner offices and individual organisations; multiagency training on engaging safely and effectively with people that cause harm in relationships; development of programmes to fill gaps in provision for specific perpetrator cohorts; staff support and reflective practice processes and restorative approaches to staff conflict. She has delivered training and bespoke consultancy on local, national and international levels.

    Liz is also an associate with Respect and Safelives, an Expert Witness for the Family Courts in relation to domestic abuse within family dynamics, and a certified life coach.

  • Luke Kendall

    Associate

    Luke Kendall is a domestic abuse consultant, accredited Independent Domestic & Sexual Violence Advocate, Domestic Violence Perpetrator Programme Facilitator, Independent Domestic Homicide Review Chair and has published articles on the prevalence of suicide within domestic abuse perpetrator cohorts.

    Luke currently works on designing, implementing and quality assuring community and custodial interventions for high-risk domestic abuse perpetrators, as well as delivering training to social care, police forces, probation services and voluntary sector services on enhancing their responses to domestic abuse.

    He has a specific interest in using evidence-informed approaches with those who use abusive behaviours in intimate and intrafamilial relationships, helping them discover more respectful, sensitive and rewarding ways to relate to others.

  • Charlotte Lench

    Associate

    Charlotte Lench is a qualified social worker, expert witness in public law court proceedings and accredited Independent Domestic Violence Advocate with over 10 years worth of front line experience working with individuals and families impacted by domestic abuse. She has been involved with developing policy and writing and delivering training packages on domestic abuse to frontline practitioners for two local authorities in the South East, and has worked within roles where she has been a best practice lead providing support and guidance to social workers working with the non abusive parents and parent causing harm. She is currently an associate trainer for a national domestic abuse charity delivering on their packages for working with the whole family, young people affected by domestic abuse and working with the person causing harm.

    Charlotte has a particular passion and interest in working with fathers who cause harm. Delivering bespoke intervention packages to this cohort of men, framing their behaviour through the lens of fatherhood to promote lasting change.

  • Christian Brazier

    Associate

    Christian has worked within community safety for two decades in a number of roles and organisations including the police, local authority and charity sector. This has provided him with a breadth of knowledge which he’s used to co-create DAWS.

    Having specialised in working with those using harmful behaviour Christian came to understand the importance of our spheres of influence such as family, friends and the workplace. If we are to truly change entrenched societal issues we need a truly societal response.

    In addition to DAWS Christian is a Domestic Homicide Review chair and regularly delivers training for Safelives.

  • Alistair Sherlock

    Associate

    Alistair has extensive experience in the management and development of interventions to identify and engage people using harmful behaviour. Having worked in local authorities, probation and charitable sector, Alistair brings an understanding of not only domestic abuse but the myriad of approaches to support those using harm to take accountability and strive towards change.

    Outside of this Alistair also worked in account management supporting businesses to develop their employee benefit offer. Engagng with HR and procurement departments to find the appropriate solutions.
